Work with us

Subcontractors & Suppliers

We self-perform the electrical, the underground and most of the construction — but no contractor does everything. If you are good at what you do and you work in the Valley, we would like your number.

What we buy out

  • Fire alarm, where a project needs a licensed alarm contractor
  • Structured cabling and low-voltage systems on larger scopes
  • Concrete, asphalt and paving restoration behind our trenching
  • Boring and directional drilling
  • Crane and specialty rigging
  • Testing agencies — acceptance testing, infrared, ground resistance
  • Professional engineering and stamped design
  • Gear, lighting packages, wire and conduit, gen-sets, switchboards and distribution equipment

If your scope is not on that list but you think we should know you, send it anyway. The list reflects what we buy most, not everything we have ever bought.

What we need from you

  1. Your AZ ROC licence number and classification. We check it. If it is not active and not the right class for the scope, the conversation stops there.
  2. Certificates of insurance — general liability, auto, workers' compensation, and umbrella if you carry one. We will send our requirements; do not guess at them.
  3. W-9 and your billing contact.
  4. Three references on work like ours, with a phone number that gets answered.
  5. Your safety record — EMR and any OSHA history. We ask everyone; a bad year with a straight explanation is not disqualifying.

Send those through the contact form and say that you are a subcontractor or supplier so it reaches the right desk.

How we actually buy

A few things worth knowing before you quote us, because they save everyone time:

  • We bid what the documents require. If your quote excludes something the specification calls for, tell us in the quote rather than in a change order. We would rather carry the money up front.
  • Quotes to us should be tax-excluded. On Arizona commercial construction the prime contractor handles transaction privilege tax; a Form 5005 rides with the purchase order.
  • Send a scope letter with the number. A price with no inclusions and exclusions is not usable on a hard-bid job, and we will not guess in your favour.
  • We pay on time. We would rather have a slightly higher number from someone who shows up and invoices correctly than the lowest number on the sheet.

Frequently asked questions

Do you require a bond from subcontractors?

Only on bonded projects, and only where the subcontract is large enough to warrant it. If a bond is required we will say so in the bid invitation, not after the award.

Do I need to be licensed for the whole scope?

You need the ROC classification that covers the work you are actually performing. We check the registry. If your licence does not cover part of the scope, tell us who you would use for that part — that is a normal answer, and hiding it is not.

How do I get on your bid list?

Send your licence, insurance, W-9, references and the scopes you cover through the contact form and mark it for subcontractor prequalification. Once you are in the system you get invitations for work that matches what you do.

Do you pay in 30 days?

Our terms follow the prime contract's payment terms, which on most commercial work means pay-when-paid within a defined window. We will tell you the terms with the subcontract rather than leaving you to discover them on the first invoice.

We are a supplier, not a subcontractor. Same form?

Same form — just say supplier. Send your line card, your Phoenix-area stocking position, and your lead times on the things we buy most. Lead time on gear is frequently what decides who we buy from.
